QUARANTINE PROTOCOL
Quarantine separates people who have had close contact with a COVID-19 infected individual to reduce the risk of transmission in case they are later found to be infected.

No → No testing or quarantine is required.
Yes → Have you had COVID-19 (confirmed with antigen or PCR test) in the past 3 months?
- Yes → No testing or quarantine is required.
- No → Quarantine and daily symptom monitoring should be initiated until 14 days after initial contact. Testing is recommended on or after day 5 of quarantine.
- Have you had symptoms while quarantining?
- No →
- Did you get tested (rapid antigen or PCR test) on or after day 5 of quarantine?
- No → Quarantine can be discontinued at 10 days.2*
- Yes →
- Was your test (rapid antigen or PCR) positive?
- No → Quarantine can be discontinued at 7 days.*
- Yes → You are considered to be infected and should isolate for 10 days from initial positive test sample collection
- Yes →
- Did you get tested (rapid antigen or PCR) on or after day 5 of quarantine?
- No → You are considered to be infected and should isolate for 10 days from initial symptoms AND have no fever for 24 hours AND have improvement of symptoms.
- Yes →
- Was your test (rapid antigen or PCR) positive?
- No → If you develop symptoms and have a negative test on or after day 5 of quarantine, you should continue to isolate and get retested. If the 2nd test is negative, you can discontinue quarantine when symptoms are improving.
- Yes → You are considered to be infected and should isolate for 10 days from initial symptoms AND have no fever for 24 AND improvement of symptoms.3

* Symptoms should still be monitored until 14 days after initial contact. You should immediately isolate and contact a healthcare provider if you develop symptoms during that time.
